Terry O'Brien retires
Terry O'Brien, president and chairman of the board of directors for
JEO Consulting, retired April 28 with more than 35 years of service.
"It has been a very challenging and rewarding career," said
Terry, who chaired the Nebraska Section AWWA in 1998 and received the Fuller
Award in 2000.
Terry also is a lifetime member of the National Society of Professional
Engineers and the Water Environment Federation.
When Terry began his career at JEO, he was the seventh employee. He
said the 1989 loss of co-founder E. Gerald Erickson was a low point and
the growth of JEO and the diversity of projects were the most significant
changes during his tenure.
JEO Consulting currently has 110 employees in Wahoo, Norfolk, Hastings,
Grand Island, Nebraska City, Lincoln, plus the states of Iowa and Wisconsin.
Terry plans to spend more time with his granddaughter, Katelyn, age
12. He and his wife, Val, have a son, Cory, and daughter, Marnie. The O'Briens
live at 352 City View Ave., Wahoo, NE 68006.
Retirement open house for Terry O'Brien, Friday, May 5, from 4-8 p.m.,
at the Eagles Club in Wahoo. Retirement presentation at 6 p.m.
