In Memory of Rich Koenig
Announcement
It's with great sadness that I share with you that Rich Koenig, our Drinking Water Field Representative for the northeast area of the state, passed away last night. Rich drove truck part-time, and from what we know, had an accident after delivering a load last night. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time, but his was the only vehicle involved.
Rich had worked with the Drinking Water Program for just over 33 years, beginning in February 1990. Prior to that he worked as the water operator for the City of Madison, and also in the Well Drilling industry. To say the least, Rich had a tremendous passion for the work he did, and took great pride in the assistance, and knowledge, he provided to both public water systems, and their operators. With his passing we lose not only a valued colleague, but more importantly, a dear friend.

- Visitation: Monday, May 22, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Funeral: Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 10:00 am
- Location for both: Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison, Nebraska (508 South Jackson Street)
