2017 Water Workshops

The Nebraska Section AWWA and the League of Nebraska Municipalities-Utilities Section (LONM) have sponsored thirteen operator workshops this spring, with 285 total participants in attendance. These winter/spring workshops were held in South Sioux City, Norfolk, Schuyler, Blair, Beatrice, Chadron, Gering, Tecumseh, Ravenna, Grand Island, Lawrence, Omaha (MUD), with one coming in July at Ogallala.

Participants received thsee relicensing credits at the different sites:

The fall workshops at McCook, Alma and Fairbury will cover fire hydrants, air release valves, pipe/cable locates, asset management and source water protection. The workshops in Valentine, Stuart, Sargent, Auburn, North Platte, Fremont, and Lincoln will cover well operation/maintenance, pump maintenance, siting wells, source water protection, and well recordkeeping/asset management.
